Let the cooking begin!

Tomorrow is our "Thanksgiving Day" and we are hosting. That means starting the preparations today. The first, and easiest, item to make is the cranberry sauce. This year, for the first time, I'm using maple syrup instead of sugar. Heat the cranberries with lots of sugar (or syrup) and water. Add orange peel or spices as per your traditional family recipe. Cook until the berries pop, and then a little longer so they are soft. Cool and serve at room temperature.
That looks delicious.. we don't have cranberries over here so ours comes in bottles.. Use it with the turkey at Christmas. Happy Thanksgiving..

Yum, I love cranberries. I added a diced apple to mine this year. The leftovers are great with oatmeal for breakfast.
