Taffy and I started 365 together in 2013 after a professional conference where she found out about this "photography website where people say nice things to each other about their photography" -- and here we are, starting Year Nine. We used to always spend New Years Eve together and then in more recent years, Bill and I would even stay overnight (or two) at their place. So we always ended and started each year with parallel photos. After a three-year hiatus we are able to post parallel photos because Taffy came over for a photowalk visit. I'm glad to pick up this part of our tradition again. Taffy's photo here: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2020-12-31
Fabulous find and shot, congratulations on 8 years here. How wonderful that the two of you are out and about again. I wish I had a friend and photo buddy.
I started 365 on the same day as you and Taffy! Wow where have those years gone? 365 has brought me so many great friendships and even two visits to Chicago to meet up with you! See you on the other side in our year 9! Big hug xx
You guys started a little before me as I am only in the first couple of months of year eight. BUt I have followed you both for most of that time. So wishing you a wonderful New Year and hoping you stay around.
a most delightful story, junko - love to think of you and @taffy together! what marvellous images you have both produced along the way. wishing you all good things in 2021 :)
A very happy and healthy year to you Junko. It is always so nice to have those twin pictures of you and @taffy, and to see that even best friends see a frame different, while both are excellent.
Hi Junko! Nice to see that you spent time with Taffy@taffy! Wonderful story you told us, and 365 is still a site where people say nice things about each other’s photos! I wish we could be closer and meet more. Just like Diane I don’t have a friend to go taking pictures with, except when they come from Chicago, like you, from Switzerland @Mona65 or when I go to Rome @domenicododaro and@frappa77. This has been a lost year for that purpose, but I really hope the future will be more gentle! Many wishes to all the 365 friends!
What a great time yesterday -- it just shows how deprived we are of travel that meeting for an icy walk in your nearby park constitutes one of the highlights! I'm so glad you pointed out this hitching post as it turned out to be fun to process. I love how yours has the post as a central point, with all the textures that the day brought us, and all the tones from across the composition captured in the single post.
That's way more snow than we have .....
Happy New Year!
What a great tradition and friendship!
