The hills are still on fire

I feel sorry for the forest fire fighters - they are still battling strong winds up in the hills and gillie to get this fire under control. There are several helicopters in the air and firefighters on the ground. Not sure the wind is giving up anytime soon.

@nickspicsnz unfortunately not yet and 160km winds are expected overnight. Quite devastating for property owners who have had to evacuate.

@kiwinanna I saw something on the news this morning. Sounds like it's quite bad. I hope no-one was hurt and there wasn't much property damaged.

Looks like we are going to have a summer of this. Hope the wind has dropped and there is a bit of rain
