Ok, I was drivving around the other day at lunch, exploring the area around East Corondolet, IL. Looking at my car's Nav, I saw a road that went from the small town straight over to the Mississippi River. So I had to check it out! The road crested the levy, it also kind of petered out.... I didn't have the guts to explore the next 0.5 mile to the river in my humble family sedan. But in the process of turning around, I decided to try a photo.... Just a quickie, sitting in the driver seat of my car.
And that's when it happened. after snapping this photo, I somehow managed to drop my Nikon P340 compact digital camera. It hit the seat, then the floorboard. A fall much less than it has taken many times. But this time it didn't survive. Must've landed just wrong.
3.5+ years of faithful use. I imagine probably 1/3 of the images on this site since 6/2015 were taken with this camera.
I'll miss it. Late posting as I've been mourning (and busy at work... but mostly mourning).
I cranked the contrast up up up on this, it is still mediocre. But I had to post it as the last image from the camera......
Thanks all!
Joan: I like your rules. I love to explore, but don't want to get stuck!
