No frost to freeze my wild wisteria blooms this year. The scent is so strong, like a cheap man's cologne, it will give you a headache if you are around it too much. But the blooms are beautiful. Shot in monochrome mode - no conversion. Color shots to come later.
Not that I would ever wear a cologne like wisteria, but I love the scent of the flower. The color of the blooms are also very pretty. Your b&w capture has beautiful tones and I like the diagonal branch in the image.
@rensala Yes, this is Chinese wisteria. It somehow escaped someone's garden hundreds of years ago and has grown wild here - all over South Carolina. It really does have a strong scent that will give me a headache if I breathe it in too long. I've trained mine to grow like a bush and I always gather the seeds so it can't grow elsewhere. It will kill trees and other native plants.
@wh2021 Thank you.
@dkellogg Thank you very much, David. LOL! I know a lot of people love its scent. It is very strong and powerful.
