The dog is a great addition- he turns the shot into a "story".

Just like a labrador to steal the scene.

Lovely scene. Must've been a hot dog to be taking a swim xx

It's a charming and evocative cameo. It has a classic, timeless feel to it and makes me think of the type of days-gone-by scenes depicted in some jigsaws.
The inclusion of the dog works beautifully.

@dulciknit - I took six shots of this scene. At first I was irritated as the dog walked into the bushes bottom left and just made a mess of the scene. But he gradually walked deeper and deeper - an opportunity I could not miss. You cannot control all shots. This one owes a lot to serendipity!

@netkonnexion Ah, but it's how you use serendipity that counts, as we both know. It's very satisfying when you identify an opportunity that presents itself and make effective use of it. Especially when you anticipate it, wait for the moment to happen... and it does. Makes up for all the times it doesn't. :-D

@dulciknit - Of course. Straight out of the "Cartier-Bresson" experience. Well said.
