Midwestern Mosque

So delightful, to unexpectedly encounter the Islamic Center of Central Missouri, located in Columbia, Missouri. Right in the center of the state - as I am taking some classes here at the University of Missouri.

Established in 1983, this is the first ever Islamic Center in the state of Missouri.

Somewhat humorously, these are light trails during what passes for rush hour in Columbia. :)

I really liked the slender moon, visible about the moon symbols above the mosque.

Love the Middle East/middle west idea. Image works really well. It has such a strong 'plains' feel.
