TRIUMPHAL ARCH by sangwann

TRIUMPHAL ARCH

When you go out of the Mdina Gate I have shown earlier, you will pass straight into Rabat. Rabat is the Arabic name for suburb. And because Mdina is a fortified city enclosed within its fortified walls it could not expand outwards and while the city was for the nobles common people began to fill the area around the city and it is now a big town full of people.
When I saw this wooden triumphal arch as we got to Rabat I knew immediately that something unusual was going on and had to take a shot of it. Later I found out that the Church named for St Joseph which is close by would be celebrating the feast of its patron saint.
Thank you very much for your looks, for your comments and for the fav on yesterday's picture.
Well spotted!
