This seems to be a Spring that is very agreeable with magnolia trees. We see them almost everywhere we go and the cooler temperatures are allowing them to remain for a good while. This is from a tree in the park where I like to take walks.
@sugarmuser - Just a tip for you. The background is nothing more than out of focus sunlit grass. The branches were low to the ground and I moved around looking for the best cluster with the least obstructed background. I used my telephoto lens and a low aperture setting of 6.7. I wish I had used a little smaller setting of 8.0 so more of the petals were in sharper focus. The combination of the distance I was from the flower and the flower from the background you can get this kind of background too.
