Smash Palace

We left Waitomo, and headed for Mount Ruapehu. Stopped off at Smash Palace, as I wanted to capture some of these rusty wrecks. Unfortunately they were just closing, so I had to content myself to shooting through the fence. DIdn't stay long, it was freezing. The wind was blowing ice off the mountain which you can see in the background

Oh what a shame - I love that place. Even though it was through the fence it is a pretty good composition. I like how all the old vehicles you have captured are red.
