There were crowds around the fountain all around, but the "instagram" girls lined up and one by one took selfies at good angles. Sigh. What's a photographer to do? Can't get the fountain because it's covered with selfie-takers. Might as well photograph the scene and story!
When I was there, it was covered in scaffolding so I never saw it LOL. Selfie takers can be odd. The strangest are those who turn up, don't look at their surroundings or study it, but just snap the selfie and move on so they can say they have visited......yet they lack a connection or experience with the site.
It's a weird world -so strange the way they preen themselves in front of whatever it might be that's so important - without a thought of how they look to others or what others would like. Your image tells the story perfectly . :)
