My granddaughter's softball team has asked me to take some action shots of the players so of course I'm happy to oblige. In this shot the baserunner, who happens to be my granddaughter, scores from third base on a wild pitch as the throw from the catcher to the pitcher covering is just a bit late.

@casablanca Baseball and softball are very similar games the main differences being that in softball the ball is larger and softer and doesn’t travel as far or as fast when hit. It is thrown with an underhand motion instead of overhand as in baseball and the distance between the bases is shorter. In general, softball is played by girls and baseball by boys.
