It’s that time again. Take a look over your posts from last month and share a favourite or two with us! Did a setup work out perfectly? Did you get the light just right? Did you learn a new technique? Whatever the reason, please post one or two in the comments, and do let us know why they’re your picks for February.
For me, I was really pleased with the reflections and the old/new contrast here
And I tried split toning for the first time and I was particularly happy with this result
For me this one because it is a reminder that the most mundane and ordinary of things that I see many times during my day change when I change my perspective and outlook.
Continuing along the same theme, it is only because of this project that, in the middle of a snowy treacherous commute, I decided to pull over and saw this.
I was pretty happy with how this last minute shot turned out:
But I like the lines in this one:
And I was just really excited to get this one, because taking passable photos while travelling down the 403 (even as the passenger) is a challenge, lol
My favourite from February is this self-portrait, everything just seemed to go right, lighting, composition and post-production all combined to make it work.
My favorite shots from February are "Terra Cotta Pots" and "Acorn Cupules". I like dark backgrounds and macro shots, while I am still learning to use my D850 Nikon.
This was my flash off red photo for February. I was happy with it because instead of going with my usual selective colour for this, I used a new technique to add the red to an image where it hadn't been before. Always fun to learn something new and be satisfied with the result.
I chose this one to represent my recent trip to Palm Springs. I had so much fun shooting there because it is so different from where I live in BC.
This one is from Flash of Red, one of my favourite challenges on 365 because I so enjoy shooting in black and white. I chose this particular one because I'm not often out to shoot at night (I'm usually falling asleep in front of the TV:) and I like how it
came together.

I took quite a few bird photos last month, here’s two favorites
But the baby armadillo photoshoot a few days later is a close second.

And one from my second album- Having some post-processing fun by taking a model railroad shot and turning it into a turn-of-the-century postage stamp.
