First of all apologies for uploading so many photos at once. At the moment I am at Heathrow airport waiting for my plane to start the journey back to New Zealand so it is a good opportunity.
This photo was taken in Antisirabe. These 'vehicles' are know as 'pousse pousse'. We were taken for a ride in them. I must confess I didn't feel comfortable. These poor guys walking and running even, to pull us along - and a lot of the time with bare feet. It wasn't all as smooth as this road, there was gravel and stones as well! I have been on rickshaw rides pulled by a bicycle, but by foot was something again!
I find this pretty thought provoking. Their body languages and situations are so different - him with no shoes running on a hot road - her leaning back as if she owns the world. Like you , I don't think I would like to do this at all. Thanks for sharing your holiday with us.
@kali66 He certainly does have some momentum - must be so hard on the body. Yet even older men were doing this! @callapix Thanks :-) @haskar I hadn't even really noticed the shadow - must pay more attention! @777margo Thanks Margo @deborah63 I'm glad you enjoyed the Madagascar shots. I will post a few more of these too sometime. @littleconnie No I wouldn't want to do it again! @robz I guess she is used to it - part of life for them there, but I agree quite thought provoking.
