This gold miner is part of the metal sculpture collection at Borrego Springs, California. In 2008, landowner Dennis Avery commissioned artist Ricardo Breceda to make 130 large sculptures of dinosaurs, horses, insects, birds, mythological creatures and historical people dispersed throughout the desert. Visitors may explore the collection by car for free.
