General Sherman, Largest Tree in the World, Sequoia National Park, California

“It took more than three thousand years to make some of the trees in these Western woods—trees that are still standing in perfect strength and beauty, waving and singing in the mighty forests of the Sierra.”
~John Muir~
The size of these trees is hard to take in. They have weathered the storm for thousands of years. even through forest fires.
