Interesting decorations on the nest… I thought some of it was cloth becauseut see that dome is plastic. Sometimes I put Sugar’s fur in a suet feeder and let the birds use it in their nests. I saw the nuthatch take some of it and fly away.

Can I ask how big and how high up it was? If it is large it might be a squirrel nest. I see them around here quite often usually high up in a tall tree.
@gardencat Hi Joanne. I don't think it's a squirrel nest- it's smaller. But it is high-ish in the tree. I'll check it out again tomorrow, but the baby birds have probably already fledged (?), assuming that it is a bird nest (?)
